AGM REPORT 2007 Venue Newark Bowls Club on Jan 17th 2008 at 7-30pm.

A good turnout with plenty of discussion Apologies, Merv Dudley, Gary Kondor, Steve Lord and Clive Booth.

It was decided that we run five reliabilities three led by club members two on our usual format,

Time trial events will be on the Flawford course only on a Thursday, dates will be put on events page, three a month.

Once a month we have use of the Newark showground  by permission of its owners to have a circuit race instead of the Thursday time trial, this will be restricted to first claim and second claim members only, we hope to run a race for younger members also.

We have two new members on the committe,  Alan Ringrose , Jimmy Finch and Chris O Connor as events secretary,  this brings us up to strength.

Time Trial fees will now be £2.00 this will put a small amount of money back into your club.

Mc Connells ElectricalZone Cycles and Northern Road Engineering are once again our main sponsors without which our club would not survive.

(Committe Members are on  About Us page.)

Very Good Turn out for the Club 60th

Some 60 present day and ex cyclist had a excellent  evening at the RAFA club, Steve Lord did a good job to pull the evening together giving a good opening speech welcoming old and present members, Chris Walker Superbike ace and keen cyclist presented the years trophies and also gave a signed copy of his new book for the raffle. Lots of  news articles and scrapbooks were brought in by  old members who pored over them  with great interest and swapped exploits throughout the evening some met people they hadn't seen for years.

Thanks to Avril Titterton and Mary Hall for extracting money out of people for the raffle, also Sue Hobby for the puddings and Chris O Connor for collecting on the door. Thanks also to all people who donated prizes for the raffle and all members of the committee for all their hard work to make this event happen especially Ron Hall who contacted old members which involved loads of legwork and car miles .                                             A good atmosphere and good company made it a night to remember

Steve Titterton.
